Because before you can look after your skin, you have to start by respecting its integrity. Sounds obvious. And yet it's not quite so simple in our day-to-day actions. On the one hand, our skin is increasingly weakened by our stressed lives, the air we breathe and the products we ingest.
On the other hand, it comes into contact with an average of 70 ingredients every day. In other words, it's constantly over-solicited and under attack. So it's more permeable to both good and bad ingredients.
If we can't control all external factors, we can clearly do better.
At Seasonly we aim to be more respectful of the skin by systematically eliminating from our formulas what we consider to be the undesirable :
- All parabenseven those still accepted today. When in doubt about potential risks, we chose to be radical.
- Silicone powdersilicone powder, derived from plastic, gives an immediate soft finish but has no real activity.
- Mineral oilsare petrochemical-based (don't trust the reassuring word "mineral"!). They create an occlusive film to keep skin artificially moisturized.
- Visit PEGare surfactants that help in formulation, but contain many toxic impurities.
That's why avoiding certain ingredients is already working towards more beautiful skin. Less but better, for better beauty.
