Serum, moisturizer, oil, lotion, the list of products we use every day is always longer but do you know in what order it is recommended to use them? Indeed, applying your products in the right order guarantees optimal absorption of the active ingredients, thus maximizing their benefits, it is therefore important to respect a precise order, follow the guide.
First step: cleaning
The cleaning step is essential, it eliminates impurities, sebum, makeup and sun protection residue. We recommend that you cleanse your face every evening using a suitable cleanser and adopt the so-called double cleansing technique if you wear makeup or if you often feel like your pores are congested. Use a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser such as a cleansing oil for example and use a non-abrasive gel cleanser to complete the cleaning. If you do not feel the need, we recommend that you do not cleanse your face in the morning; a little thermal water will be enough to prepare your skin for the application of your skincare routine.
Second step: the lotion
Applied to cleansed skin that is still slightly damp, a lotion or tuner can help balance the skin's pH, remove any remaining residue, and prepare the skin to receive subsequent products. For example, we recommend that you use a purifying zinc-based lotion if you have combination to oily skin. This will allow you to limit the overproduction of sebum and purify the pores of the skin before applying your skincare routine. .
Third state: serum
Serums are lightweight, highly concentrated formulas that target specific issues such as hyperpigmentation, blemishes, wrinkles and even dehydration. If you have several skin problems, imperfections on the forehead and dryness in the cheeks for example, it is entirely possible to use two serums to adapt the active ingredients to the targeted area.
Fourth step: the eye contour
The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than that of the rest of the face, so it requires specific care. Gently apply a product specially designed for this area, in a small amount (the equivalent of a pea for both eyes).
Step five: moisturizer
The moisturizing cream aims to protect the skin barrier, we recommend that you choose a cream adapted to your skin type (fluid if you have normal to oily skin, rich if you have dry or dehydrated skin) and opt for moisturizing creams enriched with hydrating active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid for example.
Step Six: Oil
Applied as the last step in your skincare routine, facial oil nourishes the skin (oil is a source of lipids) and seals in hydration for plumper, smoother skin. We recommend applying a few drops of oil to your face and massaging your skin for a few minutes in order to penetrate the product and activate blood microcirculation.
