In terms of beauty routine, a new trend coming directly from Korea has emerged: “ Glass Skin ”. Translated into French as “ glass skin ”, this skincare trend focuses on smooth and perfectly luminous skin, reminiscent of the transparency and shine of polished glass. Its objective is to obtain, in several stages, a radiant complexion, without imperfections, giving the impression that the skin is almost translucent. We present in detail the 5 steps that make up this new skincare routine.
Double cleaning
Double cleansing ensures perfectly clean, smooth and prepped skin, allowing skin to be more receptive to care from the rest of your skincare routine. This first consists of using a makeup remover oil. The oil is effective in dissolving all so-called lipophilic impurities (those soluble in “fat”) such as makeup, excess sebum and sun filters. This ensures deep cleansing, removing stubborn makeup residue and pollution particles that can clog pores. To do this, we recommend cleansing oil enriched with calendula, an active ingredient with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. It cleanses and purifies the skin without altering its hydrolipidic film. Its oil texture transforms into milk on contact with water for quick and easy rinsing.
Next, proceed with a gentle facial cleansing to remove water-based impurities such as dust and perspiration. For example, you can use facial cleansing jelly composed of an extremely gentle melting jelly to cleanse the skin without attacking it, enriched with calendula flower extract to soothe and purify the skin.
Exfoliation
Regular exfoliation is the key to glass skin. It removes dead skin cells, revealing a fresh and radiant complexion. Opt for an exfoliating mask containing ingredients like AHAs (glycolic acid and lactic acid for example) or fruit enzymes for smoother, brighter skin. If you have oily skin with imperfections, the facial peeling mask is ideal for stimulating cell regeneration and combating the appearance of pigment spots. The new skin mask, for its part, is ideal for people who have slightly more fragile and/or dry skin. Thanks to fruit enzymes, vegetable oils rich in carotenoids and the Bright Oleoactif complex present in the formula, the New Skin Mask gently exfoliates the skin to even out the complexion and boost its radiance.
Tonic water
After deep cleansing, tonic water steps in to restore the skin's pH balance and prepare it to absorb nutrients. It deeply hydrates, soothes irritation and offers a welcome dose of freshness. Additionally, toners containing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, or zinc can help deeply nourish the skin, promoting a natural glow and smoother skin texture. In this case, you can for example use our purifying lotion ; in addition to preparing the skin following treatments, it will help smooth the skin texture thanks to niacinamide.
The hydrating serum
After the tonic water, it’s time for the hydrating serum. This light serum, full of hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, aloe vera or acacia seeds, is ideal for the skin. It provides deep hydration, plumps the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines. Absorbing quickly, it prepares skin to receive other products, sealing in moisture for a radiant, luminous complexion. Hydrating serum is the key to achieving that luminous, smooth finish characteristic of glass skin, revealing almost translucent-looking skin with radiant beauty. We recommend the anti-thirst serum , which plumps and deeply hydrates the skin.
Moisturizing cream and sun protection
The final step of glass skin involves the application of moisturizer, which keeps the skin supple and glowing, and sunscreen, which protects it against sun damage. The moisturizer seals in moisture, ensuring a smooth complexion, while the sunscreen prevents spots and aging. Together, they preserve the skin's radiance, thus completing the glass skin routine perfectly. In terms of moisturizer, we recommend the rich cream for dry and dehydrated skin, or the fluid cream for normal to combination skin.
