Our expert facial gym facialists transform your skin in our skin studios as well as in a selection of Sephora stores across Europe, but do you really know this job that everyone is talking about at the moment? Today we present to you Esma, facialist at Seasonly since the creation of the brand, she talks to us about her job and gives us her secrets for healthy skin all year round.
Esma, can you tell us about your background?
Of course ! To become a facilist and work in an institute or skin studio like here at Seasonly, you must first have training and a beautician diploma, which I obtained ten years ago now. A few years after obtaining this diploma, I chose to train in massage and it was quite natural that I became a facialist a little over three years ago now.
Why did you choose facial care?
I had a lot of acne as a teenager and I walked the aisles of pharmacies and big stores so many times that I developed a passion for cosmetics. It's crazy how much the right product, the right routine, the right technique can have an influence on our skin and our self-confidence.
You tell us about acne, do you have any tips for people who have skin prone to blemishes?
Cleansing is essential, I do a double cleanse every evening with a cleansing oil and a cleansing gel to rid my pores of makeup and sunscreen residue.
And on a daily basis, what are the steps in your routine that you never miss?
I use floral water daily to hydrate and soothe my skin, with orange blossom preferably for my sensitive skin but I sometimes change it depending on the season and the needs of my skin. I also use a peeling mask with AHAs every week to even out my complexion and fade pigment spots, it's ideal when you have acne.
We talk a lot about facial gym at Seasonly, a tip for those who have never tried it?
You don't necessarily need an accessory to start facial exercise, but for my part I massage myself daily with a Gua Sha , focusing on the forehead and jaw and to decongest my face and blur my frown lines!
