Why choose a cleansing oil?
There are several reasons why it is better to use a cleansing oil rather than micellar water.
First of all, makeup remover oils are often more effective at removing waterproof makeup and sunscreen residue, for example. Oils have a lipid base that attracts impurities and dissolves them, while micellar waters have a water base that can't always dissolve them as effectively. Often formulated with surfactants, micellar waters can, in addition, be aggressive for the skin and in particular for your hydrolipidic film.
Then, micellar water is mainly used with cotton pads (reusable or not) and repeated use of these can create micro-lesions on the skin. Especially if you rub your skin too hard when removing makeup.
The advantage of cleansing oils is that they can be more nourishing for the skin and they leave a protective film on the skin after cleansing. No more feelings of tightness!
Finally, some people prefer the use of cleansing oil because they have a deeper and more pleasant cleansing sensation, in addition to being able to be used to massage the face.

What are the benefits of double cleansing?
If you feel the need to deep cleanse your skin or you wear makeup and sun protection, we recommend incorporating the so-called “ double cleansing ” technique into your routine. This technique consists of cleansing the face using a makeup remover oil and perfecting this cleansing with a gentle cleansing gel for the skin.
Our facialists' tip: apply makeup remover oil to the face and massage using circular movements to remove makeup from the surface of the skin. Add a little water on the face until the oil turns into milk and rinse the face with plain water.
Then use a dab of facial cleansing gel, lather in the palms of your hands and gently massage the face before rinsing the skin.
Our tip: If the water in your city is particularly rich in limescale and your skin feels tight after washing, use a thermal water mist to hydrate it and calm irritation.
