WEEK 2 : Soothe overheated skin
Goal: Calm heat sensations, reduce inflammation, and limit cellular damage. Important: If your skin feels very hot or overly sensitized, give it time to rest. But if you’re craving a calming massage ritual - perfect for the end of the day - follow along below. For instant relief: Mist your face and neck with a thermal water or hydrating spray. Cold tool massagePlace your gua sha or quartz roller in the fridge for 10 to 30 minutes (or 5 minutes in the freezer). Then, perform slow, draining strokes on the face or décolleté. Always glide from the center outwards, without applying pressure. If you'd like to keep the tool cold for longer, fill a bowl with cold water and ice cubes, and dip your gua sha in it before each repetition. Be careful not to create too much thermal shock for your skin - the tool should feel cool, but never uncomfortably cold or burning.
Restorative self-massageGently apply your treatment product on clean skin. Using the palms of your hands, press slowly and mindfully into the skin - no rubbing. If your skin can tolerate it, use the “creeping” technique to help reduce inflammation.
