Duo double nettoyage

The importance of double cleansing

Whatever your skin type, double cleansing is the first step towards healthier skin. It is a method that allows you to rid your skin of all impurities without damaging it. If you are still using micellar water, there is still time to change, your skin will thank you!

So what is the point of double cleansing? During the day, your skin accumulates numerous impurities, which most often come from external factors (pollution, dust, irritating substances, etc.). And now with wearing a mask, your skin is even more fragile during the day. She is in overdrive because of excessive sweating and excess sebum caused by this “greenhouse” effect of the mask. Double cleansing is an essential step that not only cleanses your skin in depth but also rebalances it. By practicing double cleansing you also prevent skin aging because your skin will tend to regenerate better.

The first stage: the oily phase
Whether you have makeup on or not, the first step of double cleansing is with an oil. In fact, oil is the most effective in dissolving all fatty substances (excess sebum, pollution, sun filters, makeup). It will act like a “magnet” by attaching all these impurities. In addition, its texture is extremely gentle on the skin. At Seasonly, our makeup remover oil is enriched with calendula, an active ingredient with soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. This allows the skin to be cleansed and purified without altering the hydrolipidic film.

Make-up remover oil

The oil is suitable for all skin types; you should not be afraid of the “oily” effect for combination, oily or acne-prone skin. This texture has no impact on the skin and will not cause more shine or excess sebum. On the contrary, it will effectively dissolve the fatty substances secreted by the skin. Our makeup remover oil emulsifies on contact with water and transforms into a milky texture that is gently rinsed off. It will therefore not leave any residue on the skin.

The result: cleansed, comfortable and plump skin. The oil actually prevents the skin from drying out, which is all the more important today when the skin is sensitized by the friction of the mask (dry patches, irritation).

The second stage: the aqueous phase

A cleansing gel (or a cleansing milk) is the second key step, which complements the use of oil. The so-called “aqueous” phase (which contains water) aims to rid the skin of the last impurities which cannot be removed by oil such as dust and perspiration. All hydrophilic residues are removed: residues that only dissolve thanks to an aqueous texture.

Our cleansing jelly is also enriched with calendula, and allows you to complete the cleansing of the skin without damaging it. It is applied to skin that is still damp so that it can foam and activate. We massage the skin with circular gestures and then rinse. It also contains glycerin, a moisturizing active ingredient that helps restore the skin barrier.

We therefore avoid cleansing gels that are too aggressive or which contain irritating surfactants (mainly sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate) because the more we strip the skin, the more we remove its good bacteria. And without these good bacteria, the skin will have more difficulty defending itself against external aggressions and this will amplify certain phenomena such as excess sebum. In short, a vicious circle!

As we thought of you, you can buy your Seasonly double cleanse directly as a duo now that you are knowledgeable on the subject. To accompany the daily double cleansing, we also advise you to use exfoliating acids in your routine. To find out more, click here .
