Les 5 gestes pour dégonfler votre visage au réveil

5 steps to reduce puffiness in your face when you wake up

Waking up with a swollen face can be unpleasant, especially after traveling or lack of sleep. This swollen feeling is often the result of a variety of factors, such as water retention, lack of sleep, or even diet.

But did you know that there are simple and effective actions to get a deflated and fresh face? In this article, we explain the five actions to deflate your face when you wake up in no time.

  • Lymphatic drainage:

Did you know? The lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels, nodes and organs that carries lymph throughout the body. This clear fluid, composed mainly of water, proteins, immune cells and metabolic waste, plays an essential role in eliminating toxins, bacteria and excess fluid from tissues. It also ensures the transport of nutrients and hormones necessary for the proper functioning of cells. This system actively participates in immune defense thanks to the organs that produce white blood cells, essential for the protection of the body.

Swellings related to the lymphatic system, called lymphatic edema or lymphedema, occur when lymph does not circulate properly and accumulates in the tissues.

How to fix it? Lymphatic drainage helps stimulate lymph circulation, thereby reducing bags under the eyes and facial swelling.

To do it at home, focus on gentle movements, sweeping the areas around the lymph nodes in front of and behind the ears, along the jawline, and down the neck to the collarbone. We recommend our TensioLift Oil , to boost the effects of the massage while helping to firm the skin. If you don't know where to start, a QR code is available inside the packaging and gives access to self-massage videos.

    • Sleeping on your back

You may not have known this, but your sleeping position can contribute to morning puffiness. While fluid retention during sleep is common, if you often wake up with a puffy face, it might be worth considering your sleeping position.

Avoid sleeping on your stomach, as this slows down the elimination of toxins. Instead, opt for a good pillow that keeps your head slightly elevated, which will help drain fluids during the night. Also try to sleep at least 7 hours to allow your skin to regenerate properly. Finally, keep your bedroom at an ideal temperature, around 18 °C, to promote a truly restful sleep.

      • Gua Sha massage:

Gua Sha is a traditional massage tool used in Chinese medicine for centuries, often made from natural stones like jade or rose quartz. Its name literally means "scraping the skin" in Chinese. With its flat, smooth shape, it is designed to be slid over the skin.

This technique aims to stimulate blood circulation and lymphatic drainage. By applying light pressure and performing sweeping movements on the face or body, Gua Sha helps reduce swelling, improve tissue oxygenation and promote the elimination of toxins. In addition, it relieves muscle tension, smoothes wrinkles and provides a natural lifting effect. By stimulating the Chinese meridian points and the lymphatic system, it also regulates internal balance and releases blocked fluids in specific areas of the face.

We recommend our Quartz Gua Sha , it adapts to the jaw and curves of the face for deep drainage.

        • Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a great way to reduce puffiness and swelling. It applies a cold shock to the surface of the skin, which stimulates a flow of fresh blood to the area, rich in oxygen and nutrients. This process promotes the skin's metabolism while eliminating toxins and reducing water retention. In addition, the cold contracts the muscles, giving a lifted and firm appearance.

So how do you replicate this effect at home? Simply grab your facial massage tools, place them in the fridge, and use them whenever you need them.

We recommend using our Anti-Fatigue Eye Serum , ideal for reducing puffiness and dark circles. Its metal tip provides a cryogenic effect, while caffeine helps drain puffiness and smooth the eye contour.

          • Hydration

Hydration is really key to reducing puffiness, especially in the face. When the body is dehydrated, it tends to retain water to compensate, which can cause bags and a bloated appearance. To avoid this, it is important to drink enough water throughout the day. This will help maintain a good water balance, promote the elimination of toxins and reduce water retention.

Also, don’t forget to apply moisturizers to your skin, such as creams or serums enriched with hyaluronic acid. These products help to hydrate the skin layers and improve the texture of your skin. Well-hydrated skin is more elastic and resilient, which can really make a difference in reducing puffiness.

Finally, remember to incorporate water-rich foods, such as fruits and vegetables, into your diet. Not only will they hydrate you, but they will also help reduce puffiness and keep your skin in great shape.
