Quels actifs boostent le bronzage ?

What active ingredients boost your tan?

To obtain an even and long-lasting tan, certain ingredients contained in cosmetic care products can be very useful. Most act by boosting the production of melanin, thus giving us a luminous and radiant complexion. Discover the essential active ingredients to optimize your tan.

Why do certain ingredients work on your tan?

Certain active ingredients promote tanning by acting on the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color. Melanin acts as a sort of protective shield against UV rays, absorbing some of their energy to protect skin cells.

Certain ingredients, like amino acids and antioxidants, can stimulate melanin production, leading to a faster, deeper tan. For example, tyrosine, an amino acid found in many tanning products, is a precursor to melanin. By providing the skin with the nutrients necessary for melanin production, these active ingredients can help achieve a deeper, longer-lasting tan.

Other ingredients, such as plant extracts, may have a stimulating effect on melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing melanin. By promoting melanocyte activity, these ingredients can also contribute to a faster, more even tan.

Therefore, the active ingredients that promote tanning act by stimulating the production of melanin or by promoting the activity of melanocytes , which allows you to obtain a more intense and longer-lasting tan.

What ingredients should you choose to boost your tan in your skincare?

  • Marine Oligosaccharides : Marine oligosaccharides, composed of magnesium and manganese, imitate the action of endothelin, a hormone released naturally by skin exposed to the sun. It stimulates tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for the production of melanin, thus promoting the creation of pigment without exposure to UV.

  • Acetyl tyrosine: This active ingredient promotes the synthesis of melanin, thus contributing to a faster tan.

  • Chaste Tree: By binding to opioid receptors on melanocytes, chaste tree also stimulates the production of melanin, even in the absence of exposure to the sun.

  • Karanja Oil: This oil, rich in fatty acids, pongamol and karanjin, repairs, nourishes and protects the skin from free radicals. Although it absorbs part of UV rays, it cannot replace a sun filter.

  • Annatto or Roucou: Annatto, rich in minerals and beta-carotene, hydrates, repairs and protects the skin from the harmful effects of UV rays. By stimulating the production of melanin, it offers a tanned complexion while providing an instant healthy glow thanks to its orange color.

  • Carrot Oil: This oil, rich in minerals and vitamin A (beta-carotene), prepares the skin for the sun, promotes the production of melanin and prolongs the tan, while offering an immediate healthy glow. It also stimulates the production of melanin, thus contributing to a natural tan. In addition, its antioxidant properties protect the skin against free radicals.

  • Apricot Oil: Rich in vitamins A and E, this oil brightens and revitalizes dull skin while protecting skin aging due to the sun thanks to its antioxidant properties.

  • Certain peptides: Present in tan-activating treatments, these peptides, such as acetylhexapeptide, boost melanin synthesis.

  • Self-tanning ingredients: Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and erythrulose are molecules used in self-tanning products. They react with amino acids in the skin to create a tan without exposure to the sun. Erythrulose acts more slowly than DHA and has moisturizing properties.

CLINICALLY PROVEN EFFECTIVENESS: INCREASES MELANIN PRODUCTION FROM 7 DAYS.
A triple action formula, inspired by the highest dose food supplements on the market, to prepare, activate and prolong your tan. The objective? Better prepare your skin and prevent the harmful effects of UV rays (notably skin aging) during sun exposure while promoting a faster and more uniform tan, which lasts over time. It is the ideal ally both for skin that is exposed, in order to boost the skin's defense mechanisms, but also for skin who avoid the sun and want a tanned complexion.

This two-phase serum-in-oil is composed of Thalitan and Karanja, two key ingredients to boost the skin during sun exposure. Karanja prepares the skin for the sun and prevents skin aging linked to the harmful effects of UV rays. Thalitan stimulates the synthesis of melanin in order to accelerate and prolong the tan. The formula is completed with Melanobronze as well as oils rich in beta-carotene to provide a regular and natural tan that lasts over time.

Use our Tan Boost serum-in-oil as a treatment between 1 to 4 weeks before exposure, then during exposure and up to 1 month after exposure. Use it in place of your serum or just after morning and/or evening. Remember to shake the product before use to activate the formula. Our Tan Boost serum-in-oil is non-photosensitizing and allergen-free. Its two-phase formula provides an oil-in-water effect which leaves a silky finish on the skin.

This product is not a self-tanner, it does not artificially tint the skin with the risk of a non-uniform orange color. We wanted to create a product that was easy to use, to slip into your routine without the risk of having marks. This is why we have chosen active ingredients that reproduce the action of UV rays by stimulating the production of natural melanin in the skin.

This product does not contain SPF, suitable sun protection is therefore mandatory. Obviously, we recommend not exposing yourself to the sun or choosing moderate exposure and always outside the most intense hours (12 p.m. - 4 p.m.).
