What is a vegetable oil?

We can already differentiate between two types of plant oils: essential oils and vegetable oils. essential oils and oils extracted from seeds, fruit pulp or nuts.. These two types of oils are found in day creams for two different reasons. Essential oils contribute to thesensory experience of the product, while vegetable oils will thicken the cream and provide the skin with necessary lipids.

Which plant oil is right for oily, acne-prone skin?

Contrary to popular belief, oily skin with a tendency to acne can benefit from the advantages of plant oils. The difficulty lies in choosing the right plant oil. Pure coconut oil, for example, is comedogenic: it clogs pores and accentuates acne. If, on the other hand properly formulated in a Appointment face, it reveals all its benefits: soothing, nourishing, gentle and effective at dissolving make-up, for example. That's why it's in our make-up remover oil !

For vegetable oils to leave on the skin, we recommend two: squalene extracted from olives, makes up ¼ of our natural sebum. Jojoba oil also has a composition almost similar to our skin's natural sebum. These two oils, because of their resemblance to our natural lipids, are easily absorbed and calm sebum production.

In fact, if we add oil to the skin, it lowers its natural sebum production to compensate. The same principle applies tohazelnut oil and its sebum-regulating action. Perfect for applying at night to control shine in the morning!
